In 1985 the now extinct Cars & Concepts, Inc. of Brighton Michigan wanted to design an AMG-like Lincoln to compete with the luxury sports cars coming from across the Atlantic (Mercedes & BMW). The GTC was born. A Lincoln Mark VII LSC (dubbed the "Rich Man's Mustang") would be transformed into this ultra comfortable, slick looking,  fun-to-drive sleeper. The suspension was specially designed by Jack Roush Performance Engineering.
